Shallenberger

This is  me, Debra Jolene Shallenberger in 1972. Born  in Otoe County, Nebraska City, NE.

I have three Brothers and two Sisters, One half brother. Been married twice and  have two children, and four grandsons. I have  just started on my Family Tree, so watch it  grow. I am having  some  trouble connecting  all  of them I  find, but  with  help of  everyone I would  think I can  connect them and also you will  find it  as interesting,  as I  do. 

Trying  to create a site of my  own is a  new  challenge  for me, but I hope, you  will see the challenge to me creating it. 

I plan to include all information I  find unless told otherwise and by permission of those still  living,  some of it  goes as far back to the  1500's

I would like to include pictures of the  family. Anyone who has family pictures of  themselves or ancestors  and would like to share them with me,  please email them to me. However,  if you would like to  have them scanned  and  put on a CD or a site, you can send them thru the  mail and I will  scan them and  return them to you.  Would like  one picture  for  each  name,  at any age. Also places of  birth or homesteads would be welcome too. 

I have information from many sources and  have found it interesting and exciting to  trace the family line  back to Schellenberg, Liechtenstein.  You will see that there are  many spellings of our last name, and sometimes they get changed just by listing them. I found that true as i entered them in my family tree program. forgot to check it before saying ok. so some will have the wrong spelling. Also since our family was good about  giving the next generations the names of their ancestors that there are many David's and Anna's, and such some with  the same year of birth but different  parents.  

So please join me as I make our Family  Tree Grow.
